Business Case for Diversity Cover Letter

To further strengrhen our commitment to diversity, we have developed a business case for diversity that also describes the management practices necessary to support our beliefs and values regarding inclusion. Enclosed is this Business Case for Diversity, as well as a set of Questions and Answers to aid in your understanding of the Business Case.

How we treat each other as individuals, as teams, and as an organization is based on individual values, as well as the collective values of the Center. We strongly believe that inclusion of ALL employees is critical to the continued success of the Center. The Business Case we have drafted outlines how diversity adds value to the Center. It explains the impact of effective communications with stakeholders in the achievement of Goddard's goals, and the impact on employee commitment, motivation, and trust when we enable full access for everyone.

Please read the Business Case. We are interested in hearing from you and invite comments and feedback. In the full spirit of promoting a dialogue on diversity, please contact or send comments by October 13, 2000, to Sharon Wong, Special Assistant for Diversity, Code 100, by phone at 301-286-0475, or by email to Sharon.M.Wong.1@gsfc.nasa.gov.

Confidentiality is assured and comments will bot be attributed to any one individual.
